Dr. Lasha Pierce is a physician and Board Certified Obstetrician Gynecologist. She is an artist, dancer, educator, community advocate and writer. She and her husband live in Oakland, California and her three adult children attend college in San Francisco (CA), Santa Rosa (CA) and Washington D.C.
Tovi C. Scruggs is a visionary educational leader with a passion for improving lives. Inspiring deep, conscious change is her specialty. Tovi's innovative work and leadership are nationally recognized. She earned her reputation for excellence after creating a private school for youth of color with 100% college-going success rates. Tovi currently serves as principal of a Bay Area high school, and she continues to inspire people of all ages and backgrounds, sharing her secrets to success through workshops, writing, presentations, and speaking. She resides in Oakland, CA.
Ajuana Black is an educator in Oakland, California. She is an artist, actress and renowned recording artist, and is the Chief editor/publisher of Mama Earth Vibes Magazine, a publication which celebrates mothers and their families. She is the founder and former executive director of Beams Village Academy, a home school for elementary age children in the community. She specializes in multi-level elementary education, learning development and administering advanced curricula to young students. She lives in Oakland, California with her four children and one grandson.

We must inject ourselves into the conversation and effect curricula, school policy and teacher evaluations.
